José Mateo Ballet Theatre Company Auditions
2:30 - 4:00 pm, New York City
José Mateo Ballet Theatre is holding auditions for its 2008-09 fall season (mid Sept. – Late Oct.). Salaried contracts for non-union male and female dancers available - principal, soloist and corps levels. Possiblity exists for contract extensions through annual Nutcracker performances and Spring repertory performances. JMBT presents fully produced concerts of original work by Artistic Director Jose Mateo at its Sanctuary Theatre in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. For information, call (617) 354-7467. Young Dancers 2008-09 Program Begins
José Mateo Ballet Theatre's Young Dancers Program provides quality ballet training for students ages 3-18. The 2008-09 year begins on Monday, September 8 and runs through June 5, 2009. Registration begins on June 2, 2008. Please call 617-354-7467 to register or for more information.

Nutcracker Children's Auditions
This audition gives boys and girls ages 6-18 a wonderful opportunity to dance in a professional production of The Nutcracker with the José Mateo Ballet Theatre company. The following is the schedule for auditions:
Ages 6 & 7 - 9:00 am (previous ballet training not a prerequisite)
Girls ages 8-10 - 10:00 am (previous ballet training not a prerequisite)
Boys ages 8-12 - 10:30 am (previous ballet training not a prerequisite)
Girls 11 & 12 - 12:00 pm
Girls 13-15 - 1:30 pm
Boys 13-18 - 2:00 pm
Girls 16-18 - 3:00 pm
Audition Attire:
Girls - Leotard, tights and ballet slippers. Pointe shoes for those proficient en pointe.
Boys - T-shirt, tights or sweatpants and ballet slippers.
Audition Fee: $20
