JOSÉ MATEO BALLET THEATRE IS COMMITTED TO MAKING BALLET AN ACCESSIBLE ART FORM
From José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s inception, ensuring that all individuals have access to ballet performances has been at the forefront of its mission. Since 1989, the Community Ticket Access Program (CTAP) has provided free and reduced-rate tickets to disadvantaged children, seniors, and adults through nonprofit organizations serving those populations across Massachusetts. Recipients have included Starlight Make-a-Wish Foundation, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, AIDS Action Committee, New England Home for Little Wanderers, and the Urban League.
Applications are now open for CTAP Nutcracker 2024!
José Mateo Ballet Theatre’s Community Ticket Access Program (CTAP) promotes equitable access to the arts by providing free and reduced-rate tickets to The Nutcracker to nontraditional audience members. Each year, JMBT partners with over 60 local social service and nonprofit organizations to distribute 5,000 tickets to those who would otherwise be unable to attend a performance for economic reasons. If you are a nonprofit or social service organization, we hope you will consider becoming a CTAP partner and that you will join us for our timeless version of the holiday classic this year.
