Purchasing Tickets

Tickets purchased from unauthorized third party sellers will be turned away.

Can I purchase tickets for will call?

There is no will call option for tickets.

My seat numbers are 1 and 3 – are these seated together?

Yes, seats are numbered odd on the left and even on the right, and hundreds in the middle.

How do I receive my tickets after purchasing?

You will receive a confirmation email containing your tickets in a PDF file attachment after purchasing online.

How do I use my tickets?

You can choose either to print your tickets at home or bring your tickets on your personal device to scan upon arrival at the theatre. For those using your devices, we recommend taking a screenshot of each ticket for quick and easy entry.

I have not received the email containing my tickets.

If you have not received your tickets in an email, please contact us at 617-945-1944 or email info@ballettheatre.org. We will re-email your tickets to you.

I can no longer attend the performance. May I receive a refund?

All sales are final.

I bought a ticket for the incorrect performance. Can I switch to a different performance?

Exchanging tickets for a different performance must be requested and completed within one week of purchasing your original ticket. If you would like to exchange for different seats, you must be ready to pay the difference. In addition, original tickets purchased with a promotion will not have that promotion applied to the exchanged tickets unless you are exchanging within the same promotion period.

Can I purchase tickets at the box office?

Yes, tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the performance at the box office. The box office opens one hour before showtime. The box office accepts credit and cash payments. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online beforehand to reserve the best seats. If you would like to purchase tickets at the box office, be sure to arrive with ample time to complete the transaction and scan inside.

What time should I arrive?

The lobby opens one hour before showtime. Please allow enough time to arrive at the theatre at least 20 minutes before the curtain opens. To minimize disruption, there is no late seating after 15 minutes into the performance.

Where can I park?

Parking is available along the street, however it can fill up quickly. Other public lots include Municipal Lot #019 at Hamlet Street or the South Bay Parking Garage. Be sure to give yourself lots of extra time for parking and arriving at the theatre.

How can I find out which dancers are performing?

Casting is posted on our website and social media within a week before your performance. Please note that casting is subject to change due to injury or illness.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code! Please wear whatever makes you happy to enjoy the performance.

Accessibility

Wheelchair and accessible seating is available for those with special needs. The theatre also has an ADA accessible elevator. Please contact us if you require specific accommodations or would like to purchase accessible seat tickets.

How long is the performance?

The performance will be around 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission.

Will there be snacks or merchandise at the theatre?

Merchandise is available for purchase before, during intermission, and after the performance from JMBT. Refreshments are also available for purchase at the theatre’s cash only bar.

Theatre Etiquette

For those new to a live ballet performance, please make sure you are quiet and respectful of the dancers and fellow audience members around you. This means silencing your phones during the performance and minimizing talking.

Photo / Video Disclaimer

Photography, videography and recording of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the theatre during the performance. You are welcome to take photos and share them outside of performance time.

What time does the lobby close after the performance ends?

The lobby of the theatre will close 20 minutes after the performance ends.

Privacy Policy and Data Protection

You agree that you have read, understood and consent to JMBT collecting, using, disclosing and processing your personal data in the manner set forth in our privacy policy. By attending our performances, you agree to our collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data to the extent necessary to process your requests and provide you with our services. JMBT will not share your personal data beyond the company. We are permitted to share your information only when we have obtained your permission to do so or where the law requires.

Indemnity and Liability

JMBT is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, penalty, cost/expense from its programs. By attending our performances, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless JMBT (staff, faculty) against all legal matters arising out of any injury/damage/loss that may be sustained on the person while at JMBT.

Intellectual Property

All instruction (exercises, class sequences, materials, choreography, etc) at JMBT is the property of JMBT and cannot be recreated outside without JMBT’s written approval. They cannot be taught or performed outside JMBT without the prior written approval of the company.

Prior approval by JMBT must be granted before any form of recording (photography or video recording) to be taken. All recording (photographs and videos) shall be for personal use only and not for any commercial use.
